Q. How much Scentsy scented wax should I use?
A. One of  the most common mistakes customers make while using Scentsy is putting too many cubes in the dish. This is a waste of wax. Only the bottom of the dish that the wax sits in is warmed. The amounts will vary, depending on the size of the warmer and the size of your room.  For small dish warmers you only need to use half to one cube at a time. For larger dish warmers, try one cube, then one and a half and see how it goes. I wouldn’t suggest using any more than two cubes at a time. Some fragrances are stronger than others, so it’s best to experiment and see what works best.

Q. How long will my Scentsy scented wax last?
A. The scented wax will not evaporate or dissipate. Each single cube of wax will continue to provide a fragrance for between 10 and 20 hours. If you put in two cubes or more, it will not last any longer, and that’s why we suggest starting out with less. Once you put wax into the dish and warm it, the clock starts ticking. The length of time will wary, depending on the fragrance. Some really do last longer than others. Once you no longer smell the scent, it’s time to change the wax.

Q. How do I change the wax, and how do I clean the dish?
A. It’s much easier than you think. There are a number of ways you can clean the wax out of the dish but I find the best way is to use cotton wool balls to soak up the warm wax while its still melted. Simply pop a couple of balls in and allow it to soak up the wax, discard the cotton wool (or place them in a drawer, small area) and then give the dish a wipe with kitchen roll to get rid of any residue. Other methods include removing the wax when it is cooler but pliable and it will come out in a clean disc, you can also use a Scentsy spatula to remove the wax.

Q.  What are Scentsy Bars made of?

A.  We use a food-grade petroleum (proprietary paraffin blend) based wax. This wax was chosen because of its superior scent loading ability, melt point and firmness. Scentsy looked into vegetable based waxes but just couldn’t get a quality candle bar. There is no issue regarding the type of wax used - because we only warm the scent out of the wax – the wax remains in the warmer. The wax is not burned, and therefore, not released into the air to pollute our lungs, walls and furniture.

Q.  How are Scentsy Warmers made?

A.  Warmers are designed by Scentsy and manufactured in facilities in China. Each warmer is made of high-quality ceramic or porcelain. China is renowned for excelling in ceramic manufacturing. This video - Rocks to Warmers, provides an insight into the production process.
